Lutheran Healthcare Recognizes Medsphere CEO for Improving Patient Care
June 3—Lutheran Healthcare honors Medsphere CEO Mike Doyle with its prestigious Sister Fedde Award ... The health system recognized Doyle for his contribution to the health of Brooklyn, N.Y., residents by leading the development of open-source health technology. The award is named after Sister Elisabeth Fedde, the Norwegian Lutheran deaconess nurse who created the building blocks for Lutheran HealthCare with the founding of Lutheran Medical Center in 1883. VA VistA Innovations Award
July 10—The Ash Institute of the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University honors the Veterans Health Administration with its prestigious "Innovations in American Government Award" for VistA and other innovations. May 29—Red Herring magazine honors Medsphere by including us in its annual "RH100 North America" list, which recognizes 100 privately held companies in North America that play a leading role in innovating the technology business. Red Herring tested nominees against a set of five values that included "Revolutionary is better than evolutionary."
