HIM / PIM Consultant; Systems Analyst

This HIM / PIM Consultant and System Analyst manages implementation planning, data acquisition and deployment for the OpenVista HIM / PIM solution. This position reports to the Director of Professional Services. Annual travel is estimated at 70 percent.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute product knowledge, practical experience and customer feedback to development of new HIM / PIM product features and functions.
  • Work closely with development team to ensure appropriate transfer of knowledge and incorporation of business and clinical workflows into new product solutions.
  • Manage OpenVista HIM / PIM solution deployment process, including response to customer proposals, functional sales demonstrations, implementation planning and methodology development by phase, and successful transition to customer support; assist with other application solutions as needed.
  • Utilize industry standard best practice implementation methodologies, including incorporation of business and clinical workflow processes.
  • Use industry best practices and standards in the development of OpenVista HIM / PIM training program, including curriculum, content and collateral; develop proficiency standards for the creation of OpenVista certification program.
  • Participate in OpenVista support operations, including planning and creation of the OpenVista Solution Center.
  • Develop support processes, policies and procedures, including HIM / PIM escalation procedures.
  • Assist with hiring, training and management of contractor and/or regional implementation teams; full-time and selected partner teams; and full-time, centralized support team.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as mutually agreed upon to effectively and successfully accomplish OpenVista implementations and other assigned tasks / responsibilities.

Qualifications

Education and Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years experience with successful team participation and/or management
  • Registered Health Information Administrator / Technician (RHIA / RHIT) with experience in HIM / PIM project implementation / management, documentation, training, and support; consultants with extensive Patient Information Management implementation experience will be considered.
