Patient Information Management System

The OpenVista EHR begins with the Patient Information Management System (PIMS). Registration, admission, discharges, and transfers are centrally managed and utilize a master patient index (MPI) that consistently maintains patient information in the clinical record throughout the care episodes. Information can be entered natively into OpenVista or via standardized Health Level 7 (HL7) messages received from foreign systems. PIMS includes the following functional modules:
