SAN DIEGO, Calif.—Nov. 9, 2010—Healthcare IT executive Michael J. Doyle will be the featured executive at an upcoming Executive Briefing of the Life Sciences Information Technology (LSIT) Global Institute. A member of LSIT’s Industry Advisory Board, Doyle is president and CEO of Medsphere Systems Corporation, a leading open-source health IT company headquartered in Carlsbad, Calif.
Mike Doyle will present an overview of Medsphere and the company’s OpenVista® electronic health record solution, and also share his perspective on the importance of LSIT's work in developing Good Informatics Practices (GIP) that address pressing concerns in EHR implementations.

IP is being developed as a comprehensive body of industry-specific IT and informatics guidance. LSIT works toward development of guidance for best practices ranging from infrastructure and applications development though regulatory requirements (GLP, GMP, GCP and Part 11), business alignment and risk management within the life science research, development and healthcare IT environment.
