Virginia-based professional to play key role in federal business acquisition
Arlington, VA and Carlsbad, CA—Medsphere Systems Corporation, the leading provider of affordable and interoperable healthcare IT platform solutions, today announced that Bobbie Peterson, PMP, CPHIMS, has joined the company’s Government Services Division as vice president, business development.
Ms. Peterson brings more than 20 years of diverse experience in business development, and project and capture management, to her leadership position with Medsphere. She has played key roles in federal healthcare IT and biomedical research business acquisition and has led teams awarded nearly a billion dollars in federal contracts during the past two decades.
Through key positions at companies such as CSC, RTI International, and McKesson, Ms. Peterson has consistently increased revenues and profitability while dramatically expanding the scope of federal business awarded by departments such as Health and Human Services—including the Centers for Disease Control and National Institutes of Health—Veterans Affairs and Defense.

To Medsphere Government Services, Ms. Peterson brings best practices acquired from her participation in many professional and technical organizations: the Health Information Management and Systems Society (HIMSS), the Armed Forces Communications and Electronic Association (AFCEA), Health TechNet, the American Council for Technology-Industry Advisory Council (ACT-IAC), the Open Source Electronic Health Record Agent (OSEHRA) and the Project Management Institute.
Ms. Peterson holds a master’s in information systems technology management from George Washington University and is recognized as both a certified Project Management Professional and a Certified Professional in Healthcare and Information Management Systems.
