The e-prescribing global market is expected to grow 23.5 percent annually into 2019 and achieve an estimated value of $887.8 million. Benefits such as lower cost, better access to prescription records, easy legibility and smoother workflow outweigh the costs:  fixing incorrect orders, software problems, and software purchase and start-up costs.
