Wellsoft EDIS was customized and integrated with the existing HIS to better meet the needs of patients and clinicians, improve productivity and efficiency, and further modernize the hospital’s fast-paced ED that delivers services to nearly 70,000 patients a year. The system will also integrate with a future HIS implementation.

A comprehensive EDIS and electronic health record (EHR), Wellsoft EDIS creates a seamless transfer of patient information to streamline the entire process from pre-admission through final disposition. The system also accommodates two kiosks for both EMS and patient walk-ins supporting provincial health card readers, as well as discharge instructions in five languages.
