Somerset, NJ – July 11, 2019 – Wellsoft Corporation, a division of Medsphere Systems Corporation and the industry leader in Emergency Department EHR technology, announces Choctaw Nation Health Services Authority (CNHSA) has chosen Wellsoft EDIS to support its goal of providing high quality emergency care to its Native American and community members.

CNHSA serves patients in Southeastern Oklahoma through its state-of-the-art healthcare facilities, which includes a 44-bed hospital with a 24/7 Emergency Department. With Wellsoft EDIS, the hospital will replace its non-electronic processes in the Emergency Department to achieve its goal of full electronic documentation, and to improve best practices and workflow.

As a core part of this effort, Medsphere, the parent company of Wellsoft, will provide complete and full integration of Wellsoft EDIS into the organization’s existing EHR RPMS (Resource and Patient Management System)— the electronic health information system commonly used by Indian Health organizations. Medsphere has been enhancing and supporting CNHSA and the Indian Health Service EHR RPMS for nearly two-decades.

“To maintain our mission of providing the highest quality care, we determined Wellsoft was the only vendor capable of delivering the right solution to achieve our patient care and efficiency goals,” said CDR Ross Green, USPHS, Clinical Applications Coordinator for the Choctaw Nation Health Services Authority. “Their reputation as a #1-rated Emergency Department EHR vendor was substantiated time and again through our interactions with their team, as well as our conversations with some of their clients. It also made our decision easier knowing that Wellsoft’s parent company has such vast interface experience and product expertise with Indian Health Service’s EHR RPMS.”

“CNHSA is a true leader in Indian Health,” says Dr. John Santmann, Founder of Wellsoft and CMIO of Medsphere. “From being the first tribe to build its own hospital with its own funding to now implementing our industry-leading Emergency Department solution to improve healthcare delivery through enhanced processes. We are truly honored they chose Wellsoft EDIS and are expanding their partnership with Medsphere.”
