The vaccination program in the United States is going well and has convinced many that this summer and fall will be close to life as usual. The EU has even said it will welcome vaccinated Americans this summer. Despite these optimistic signs, there is still much to be concerned about regarding the long-term impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. Long Covid, to site but one example, will prove a challenge for the healthcare system for some time.
