MIPS: The New Reporting Regime

In April 2015, President Obama signed into law the Medicare Access and CHIP Reauthorization Act (MACRA), changing the healthcare game for individual clinicians working in physician practices. The MACRA legislation includes a new Merit-based Incentive Payment System (MIPS) that physicians will do well to understand.
