Penalty structure for HIPAA violations

Omnibus HIPAA implements a number of provisions to strengthen the privacy and security protections for health information. The final rule is an amendment to the original HIPAA Privacy, Security, Breach Notification and Enforcement rules.

• New and expanded patient rights
